Get Rid of Acne – 3 Easy Things You Can Start Doing Right Away!

If you are determined to get rid of acne, there are some easy things you can start doing as part of an overall acne treatment plan. Here are 3 things you can start doing to improve the condition of your skin now.

1. A important factor when you start to get rid of acne is to keep your body hydrated throughout the whole day. Try to drink some water ever hour and cut back on drinks like coffee and alcohol that dehydrate your body. The reason this is important in clearing acne is that it helps your body function more efficiently and flush out toxins that can cause acne. Drinking water is just one factor that will go towards helping your acne condition.

2. Another important consideration for getting rid of acne is to exercise regularly. This helps blood flow more efficiently, carrying all the nutrients to your skin to keep it looking and feeling healthy. It’s best to take a shower as soon as possible after exercising to prevent sweat clogging your pores and aggravating your existing acne or causing new break outs. I’d also recommend wearing lose clothing so that your skin can breath during exercise.

3. You don’t have to cut out junk food completely but it is best to cut back on oily processed foods. It is beneficial to cut out certain foods completely to test whether there are specific foods that aggravate your acne. It’s best to do one food type at a time so that you can have accurate results and pinpoint exactly which foods are the culprit.

Green Tea Acne Treatment?

You’ve probably heard at some point or another that green tea is very good for your health but what about green tea for acne?  Let’s take a look …

The two main ingredients that can help your acne condition are polyphenols and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) which are sources of antioxidants.

The presence of antioxidants in your body help it to defend against free radicals that cause damage to cells and tissues.

Since this product is natural there is less chance of side effects associated with prescription drugs and medication.

It is also known to cleanse your body from the inside a help it get rid of harmful toxins and bacteria that can cause acne break outs.  It also has antibacterial qualities which help reduce redness and inflammation – a common experience with acne lesions.

As you are probably aware one of the main causes of acne can be hormonal imbalance.  Green tea for acne has the ability to control the activity of hormones and keep them in a more balanced state which can lead to an improvement in your acne condition.

Different Forms of Green Tea Extracts?

Not everyone will like the light grass type taste from this tea but there are other forms for those that would like to try this as part of an acne treatment but cringe at having to drink it.

  • There are pills available like any other vitamins and supplements that you might take.
  • Gum
  • Topical creams
  • Powder

So there you go, even if you don’t like green tea, you still have other options available to you to take this as part of an acne solution.  Having different options is also good for teens who suffer from acne but don’t think drinking tea is “cool”.

Some acne sufferers even use this solution as a cleanser due to its antibacterial qualities.

Two cups a day can do wonders for your skin so why not give green tea for acne a try!  It should be treated as part of a healthy balanced diet and good skin care regime rather than a substitute.

Vitamin b5 Acne Treatment

Vitamin b5 acne treatment and other vitamins and minerals are key in maintaining overall health and clear skin.

The use of this vitamin as an acne cure was popularized after research by Dr. Lit-Hung Leung in Singapore.  He suggested that a lack of vitamin b5 (also known as pantothenic acid) is a major factor in the cause of acne.

The study showed that a 10-20mg dosage of this vitamin decreases oil production by the sebaceous glands which is why he suggested it can eliminate acne.

This vitamin has properties that control hormonal fluctuations, and since hormonal imbalance is thought to be a cause in acne break outs, it is easy to see why vitamin b 5 acne could be effective at controlling acne.

However, this research has proven to be controversial with some supporting the study as an acne cure while others stating it has too many side effects.

Many people question the consumption of the suggested 10-20mg daily intake of pantothenic acid to maintain hormonal balance.  There are several side effects of taking larger quantities of b5 vitamin such as diarrohea, stomach irritation, headaches, nausea and fatigue.

Just like much research on acne, the vitamin b 5 acne  treatment issue is far from being settled.  If you are considering following Dr. Leung’s advice and taking more pantothenic acid than the recommended daily allowance then it may be wise to consult a professional such as a dermatologist, nutritionist or your doctor.
Professionals recommend a dose of 10 grams daily of vitamin b5 for acne, which can easily be taken as a vitamin supplement.

The most popular vitamin b5 acne treatment is known as Vilantae.  This product works to reduce sebum production to combat acne.  To find out more about Vilantae see here
