How to Get Rid of Pimples – Bread Can Be a Major Cause of Acne!

If you are determined to find out how to get rid of pimples then here is some information on diet that you may not be aware of!

Some researchers or doctors comment that diet does not play a role in the cause of acne but it’s just not true. It might not be a major issue for some acne sufferers but for others it could be the only thing that stands in their way of having acne free clear skin.

Bread and other processed food like cereals cause an increase in sugar levels when they are being digested by the body. This results in the body producing high levels of insulin and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1). This in turn leads to excess amounts of male hormones which are the culprit for causing your pores to secrete excess sebum (oil).

Sugars and grains seem to cause your body to produce more insulin than is required so it makes sense to lower your intake of such foods to have a better chance of how to get rid of pimples.

It seems evident that there is a co-relation between insulin and acne. It has been reported for some time that increased IGF can cause acne so it would be wise to control this through your diet.

This doesn’t mean that you should cut out these foods completely or that everyone will be effected with acne breakouts. However, if you have acne prone skin then reducing your intake of foods that increase insulin can go a long way in clearing your pimples.

Acne Laser Skin Treatment – Is Laser Therapy Any Good For Acne Scarring?

An acne laser skin treatment is commonly used for those that have noticeable acne scarring and nothing else seems to help their condition.  Laser therapy is best known to remove pigmentation, unwanted hair, wrinkles and advancements in technology have made it more suitable for improving skin conditions like acne.

It can take a while to find an acne treatment regime that actually works for you because there can be so many variables to consider.  So when you finally have acne free skin you don’t want to be left with acne scars as reminders of the way your skin was.  Let’s take a closer look at how acne laser skin treatments work.

How Do Laser Acne Treatments Work?

Laser therapy can be done in two main ways.  The first method involves the use of a hand held laser to burn off the top layer of damaged cells.  This allows healthier smoother cells underneath to be exposed and replaces the damaged cells.  The carbon-dioxide laser used in this procedure produces short bursts of high energy which allows it to vaporize the damaged skin one layer at a time. The removed skin will then be replaced and after a few days, a smoother surface will be evident.  The benefit of this procedure is that the affected areas can be specifically targeted without touching the clear areas around the scarring.

The second form is the nonablative skin treatment.  This type of laser therapy does not destroy the outer surface of the skin, instead it works on the layers underneath to promote collagen production in the dermis and cause the skin tissues to tighten. This method involves the use of YAG (ebium) lasers which has precise wavelengths which can focus on the scarred areas and penetrate the skin underneath.  The main benefit of this procedure is that healing time is quicker however it has been reported that this method isn’t as effective on all types of scarring.

Laser treatment can be expensive and isn’t always necessary or as effective as it is for others.  So take your time when deciding how to treat your acne scarring.  It’s best to treat less expensive methods first before immediately opting for acne laser skin treatments.
